Probiotic Air Optimiser Diffuser Test - Dust Mite

Probiotic Air Optimiser Diffuser Test - Dust Mite

22nd March 2022

This independent laboratory study by BMA-Labor GbR tested the effectiveness of Provilan SEM 091, used in a diffuser, at reducing airborne allergens from house dust mites – one of the most common allergy triggers in homes.

The test focused on Der p 1, the major allergen found in Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (a common dust mite species). Researchers applied this allergen to cotton squares, then compared untreated samples to those exposed to Provilan in a diffuser for one hour in a controlled setting.

The results were impressive: the Provilan-treated samples showed a 42.9% reduction in Der p 1 allergens compared to the untreated controls. The allergen levels were measured using ELISA, a highly sensitive lab testing method.

This proves that airborne probiotics released from the Provilan Air Optimiser can actively reduce dust mite allergens – without harsh chemicals, filters or artificial fragrances. It’s a gentle, natural solution that supports better indoor air quality for allergy sufferers, children, pets, and sensitive individuals.

Ideal for bedrooms, pet areas, and shared living spaces, this study highlights how probiotic air purification offers an effective new approach to reducing indoor allergens.
